Puskas Family Flowers is a small, local flower shop in Lorain, Ohio; Family-owned and operated since 1977. Aside from the various floral work they do, they also have an outdoor party pavilion for event rentals in the summer season.
The party center was first opened in the summer of 1980 and has housed many parties and celebrations since then. Chances are, if you grew up near Lorain, you've probably been to a graduation party, wedding, or some other event at Puskas'.
Unfortunately, along with all of those good times and memories made, comes a lot of wear and tear on the grounds and equipment. This GoFundMe page was created to help raise money for some much needed updates to the party center, including: 20 new round tables, 300-350 new folding chairs, structural repairs, and much more.
As all small business owners know, the economy has been rough the last couple years, and many family-owned businesses in the area have been forced to close their doors. On top of that, during 2015, North Ridge Rd (& the flower shop's main entrance) was closed for 6 months, causing the Puskas' to lose over $40,000 of business. With one challenge after another, this small, family business is just trying to hang in there.
Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will help the Puskas' make the party center more comfortable and enjoyable for future guests.
