Formula SAE Racecar build at PVCC!!

Formula SAE (FSAE) is a distinguished international engineering design competition in which student-led teams design, build, and race a formula-style car. Our newly established team at Piedmont Virginia Community College is the only community college currently participating in the competition (and the second in FSAE history!).
This ambitious project will provide a valuable hands-on learning experience for many students at our college. Supporting our FSAE team provides a unique opportunity for donors to endorse a remarkable publicly available program. Our project would not be feasible without contributions like yours.
PVCC's participation in the FSAE competition will bolster our institution’s growing engineering program and give students a critical edge as we go forward in our education and our careers. The FSAE project requires the application of a large variety of real-world skills that our student-led team is eager to employ.
We need your assistance!
In order to complete this immense engineering challenge we need to establish an automotive laboratory including tools, machines, and computers. We will need a budget to purchase components that we cannot build, and procure materials for those that we can. We'll need racing suits, helmets, and funds for transportation to the competition. We are seeking any level of monetary support that you can offer in order to make this project a reality.

Donations to our project can also be made through the PVCC Educational Foundation, a 501 ( c ) ( 3) non-profit organization, with 100% of your donation going to the PVCC FSAE project.
