Hurricane Irma, with 185 MPH winds, began its path of destruction with its eye on St. Maarten. Private Yacht Charter, a company offering skippered day and term charters, did not get spared by Irma either. They lost their business and are left with little. The picture here above shows the devastation in the marina where they used to operate from. Please read their story and learn how you can help!

''We thought long and hard and have decided to restart our business on St Maarten. Although it might not be the best place for business now, it is our home and we want to help rebuild the island. We will make it paradise again!

We started our company 10 years ago and have successfully grown over the years and have provided many people with wonderful trips and memorable experiences.We want to keep doing what we do best, creating a special day for our customers!

But we need a lot of help! We've lost our office, our dock and 4 out of 5 boats did not survive the storm. And with the dramatic drop in tourism numbers, the first years are going to be very tough. But we will survive and thrive! A donation, big or small, will be of great help!
