Lil' Superman Needs a New Heart

*** UPDATE: I received a new heart on October 29. Now, I am recuperating and will not be able to go out and about (preschool, family gatherings, stores, etc) for 3 months. Mommy and Daddy will still have to take time off from work. ***
Hi my name is Kristopher, I'm 3 years old, happy, growing big and strong and I'm full of smiles, but I have a big challenge ahead of me ... I need a new heart.
You see, I was born with a heart defect my doctors can't fix so I've been placed on the UNOS transplant list and that's going to help me to be able to run and play the way my big sister and brother do. I am very fortunate because I am getting cared for at the best children's hospital around. I hear they are number one in the country for performing the surgeries that I am going to have. Heart transplant surgery for a little guy like me can be quite intensive and the recovery could take some time.
At the moment, I am waiting for a new heart in the hospital, but am hopeful to go home to wait with my family all together. While I wait in the hospital, Mommy and Daddy are taking turns being with me and being with my big sister and brother at home.
Once the doctors locate a heart for me and perform the transplant surgery, recovery time will be at least 3 months. This means that Mommy and Daddy will not both be able to work full-time during the recovery period.
I ask that you please help me and my family in our time of need. This surgery is going to save my life. Thank you for your time and reading my story
