Purpose:
Courageous Lady was created to build a network of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds and to help women move into being confident, creative, committed and celebrated, change agents. It will become a community that helps women leave fear behind and experience a life of purpose and passion without shame or fear of what others will think! The Courageous Lady website will be launched June 1, 2015.
GoFundMe Need:
We need your help raising $3,000 to defray some of the costs of the Courageous Lady Saturday Experience. My mom has personally sown in an excess of $8,000 so far. Below are details about Courageous Lady and the events that will take place. Donations of any amount are appreciated.
Cost:
The cost to host the three events for the Courageous Lady Saturday Experience will total close to $12,000 to cover the cost of the venue, meals for three events, resources, decorations, table and chair decorum, lodging for speakers, equipment and supplies, photography, videographer, incidentals, and etc. All events are free and open to the public with a maximum capacity of 150 people.
Courageous Lady Saturday Experience will be held on July 25, 2015 at the Alcazar Shrine located at 555 Eastern Boulevard. This inaugural day will serve as the first official event sponsored by Courageous Lady. This spectacular day will be full of fun and enjoyment and include the following three events:
Afternoon Tea and Meal (11 a.m.): Renowned motivational speaker and author as the event’s speaker. Lots of exciting surprises will be made available during the tea.
Meet and Greet (5:30 p.m.): Light meal. Gifts and resources will be available for participants.
Evening Explosion (7:00 p.m.): Awesome women from Missouri, Alabama, and Georgia to encourage all in attendance.
Our mission serves a five-fold purpose:
1) To help women strengthen and cultivate their confidence to be and do what they were created and purposed for without fear.
2) To help women realize and enhance their creative gifts and talents and to assist them in moving forward with passion and excellence and without fear or shame.
3) To provide digital resources and tools that will empower women in all areas of their lives and develop an attitude of commitment and dedication with grace, strength and courage.
4) To celebrate women from all walks of life by hosting a variety of fun social events around the United States.
5) To help women focus on leaving a legacy in the lives of their family, friends and others. To help women realize they have something life-changing to do and only they were designed for the job!
