Need to visit my sister

I don't know exactly the best place to begin with, so I'll start from the beginning...
I was raised as an only child. Life was good and all that.
Then, when I was 31 (This was in 1991), I was visiting my mom (I had just moved into the area, I moved around a bit) and the phone rang.
She said "Its for you, its your sister".
That was when I found out I was adopted.
My sister basically did some detective work and found out how to contact me.
Anyway, my mother, sister and her 3 kids came and visted me a few months later.
I did the same the next year, in which I also met my brother.
For reasons I am still trying to figure out, I kind of dropped off their "grid", so to speak.
We all moved to different areas of the country and were unable to visit.
But we still managed to keep in touch to some degree, mostly though holidays and birthdays.
Although I haven't been able to see my sister in over 20 years.
When I feel down, she has been my rock.
In 2013 my brother died of a heart condition.
I called and talked to everyone, but due to financial issues, I was unable to attend his funeral.
Now, over the last 6 months or so, guilt has been building because I haven't been able to visit any of them and I really miss them
Particularly my sister, since she is the one that went looking for me, that makes her extra sepcial to me.
She gave me a gift I didn't properly appreciate.
We did some communication via Facebook for a few years.
It was minimal at first but has increased over the last 6 months or so.
It wasn't bad, but it was never really enough.
Then, back in December, about a week after the Paris attack, my niece and her husband, who is in the USAF, got stationed in Germany.
They are in Spangdalem, and after talking to a few ex-military friends about that place, that at least eased my fears for their safety.
But still, thats when the guilt shit really hit the fan.
I'm out of work, live pretty much in the middle of nowhere (google map Stagecoach, Nevada).
The only jobs available within a 30 - 40 mile range are warehouse jobs, but I have a bad back (Something to do with degenerative discs), so
warehouse work is not an option for me.
I'm living with my mom (the one that adopted me)., on SNAP for food, and Medcaid for medical things, and currently have no income.
All I want to do is go visit my sister for a weekend, maybe 3 or 4 days.
I live near Carson City, Nevada, she lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I don't really trust my truck for that long of a trip (see picture. Would you trust that on a long drive?).
So I would need a rental car.
The cheap rentals are around $30 - $40 a day.
So thats around $150 - $190 for 4 days (with the added taxes and fees).
Then there's gas and food.
And I can't really go see my sister and just be a bum on her couch expecting her to feed me for 4 days.
I'd like to at the very least, take her out to a nice dinner. And Maybe a show or something.
I just really need to spend some quality time with her.
