Launching a Model Islamic School — This Ramadan

Donation protected
For nearly a decade, Quba Institute of New York (QINY) has served the Muslim community with sincerity, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to Islamic education.

Today, we are taking a bold and historic next step.

We are launching a Model Islamic School in Brooklyn, NY, serving Grades 1–12—designed to nurture confident, ethical, and intellectually curious Muslim leaders prepared not only for academic success, but for lives of purpose, leadership, and service.

This is not simply another school.

We are building a new educational model—rooted firmly in faith, informed by global best practices, and intentionally designed for the future of our children.

Ramadan is the month of multiplied reward.
And this is a defining moment.

By contributing now, you are not simply donating—you are helping establish an institution that will educate generations, in shā’ Allah.

Why a Model Islamic School?

“You tell me, I forget. You show me, I remember. You involve me, I understand.”

Most standardized state curricula were designed for mass enrollment, rigid testing systems, and public funding constraints. They were never intended to cultivate visionary thinkers, grounded leaders, or spiritually confident Muslims.

Too often, this results in:
  • Creativity and critical thinking limited by standardization
  • Emotional and moral development treated as secondary
  • Students positioned as passive learners rather than active thinkers
Our children deserve more than adequacy.
They deserve excellence.

We are intentionally bringing the very best of global educational practices—carefully filtered through a strong Islamic worldview—into our community. These internationally respected approaches honor:
  • The natural development of the child
  • Curiosity, inquiry, and independence
  • Intellectual depth paired with strong character formation
This is not imitation.
This is intentional design.

And that is what makes our school a model.

Our Educational Vision

We are building an environment where excellence, faith, and human development are seamlessly woven together.

- A Prepared, Purposeful Environment
A calm, beautifully designed space where students feel secure, respected, and inspired to explore their full potential.

- Holistic Child Development
An education that intentionally nurtures:
  • Intellectual growth
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Leadership and problem-solving ability
  • Confidence rooted in faith
By honoring the natural stages of child development and curating a purposeful learning environment, we cultivate not just achievement—but a genuine love of learning.

- Grace, Courtesy, and Community
Adab is not an add-on. It is the culture.

Compassion, dignity, and service are embedded into daily interactions and structured service-learning experiences, forming students who are not only capable—but conscientious.

Arabic–English Bilingual Immersion

One of the defining pillars of our school is a bilingual Arabic–English learning environment.

Through dual-language instruction, students will:
  • Become confidently bilingual and biliterate
  • Strengthen memory, focus, and analytical thinking
  • Develop cultural awareness and empathy
  • Build a meaningful, lifelong relationship with the Qur’an and Islamic tradition
Research consistently demonstrates that bilingual students excel academically, think more flexibly, and are better prepared to lead in an interconnected world.

In our school, Arabic is not symbolic.
It is foundational.

Islamic Identity & Scholarship Pathways

Islamic character formation is intentionally integrated at every stage through:
  • Islamic Studies
  • Qur’an and Hifdh
  • Ongoing spiritual mentorship
As students mature, those with aptitude and aspiration will have structured pathways toward advanced Islamic scholarship, including the completion of formal scholarly certification and ijazah.

We are nurturing not only students—but future leaders, scholars, and contributors to the Ummah.

The Facility: Our First School in Brooklyn

We plan to launch in a three-story brick building in Brooklyn, NY, offering approximately 5,000 square feet of adaptable educational space.

These are a few images reflecting the environment we will thoughtfully transform into:
  • Calm, focused learning spaces
  • Purposefully designed classrooms
  • Child-centered educational environments
With your support, this building will become more than walls and floors—it will become a vibrant school community, ready to welcome its first students.
