Hello all, Brittany here, asking for some help for a great man. For those of you who don't know Monte; he is a devoted father to River, works harder than most and just an all around stand up guy.
On April 25th 2018 Monte was checked in to the ER for some very sudden & discerning symptoms. By the end of his evaluation and extensive testing he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome.
Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. In its most severe form Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency. Most people with the condition must be hospitalized to receive treatment.
Monte is currently at Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo, CA undergoing daily IV treatment to help in the recovery of this disorder. He will need to be under the care of the hospital for at least 5 days, possibly longer. After Monte is finally able to go home he will need ongoing physical therapy to regain strength and movement back in his hands and feet.
As you can all imagine the hospital bills for his stay, treatment and physical therapy are going to be astronomical, this is where you come in. All proceeds of donations will go directly towards helping pay off the vast medical bills monte will end up with once he returns home.
Those of you who do know Monte know what type of man he is... he's always there if you need him, he's kind, loyal to his friends and can make you laugh even in dark times. Lets all rally together for Monte and show him just how much we love and support this incredible man.
