Emergency Vet Care for Amigo

We came home in the evening on Easter Sunday to find our fully indoor cat in pain with a swollen jaw. We immediately took him to a local emergency vet clinic. We had them do what they could to alleviate his pain, since we couldn't afford a full diagnostic at their prices. They agreed that emergency care tends to be more expensive. We plan on taking him to a local veterinarian in the morning, but we don't know how we are going to afford his care. We adopted him in early 2008 when he was a kitten. He is a part of the family and loved by our young daughter. We don't want to have to put him down, because we can't afford his care. Anything will help us take care of him.
