RBL collection tin theft

For many years in Basingstoke this gentleman, Maurice Bastable has collected for RBL. He is a veteran who is well known in the town, always positioned outside Marks and Spencer's ready for a chat. 

On Saturday, his collection tins worth 1500 were taken, the experience understandably left Maurice very shaken up. The following day, a second theft was attempted but Maurice managed to apprehend the thief and recover the tin. 

We have set up this page to try and recover some of the funds taken from him.
