New Uniforms for Rainbow City Band

Rainbow City Band, the first ensemble in what has grown to become Rainbow City Performing Arts, is a Seattle-based group of LGBTQ and allied musicians who bring music to audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest while promoting visibility and acceptance of LGBTQ individuals.

Our marching band performs in parades and festivals each summer where we are seen by hundreds of thousands of fans. Our current uniforms are old, wearing out, and not well suited for even the relatively mild summer weather in our area. Our new uniforms, designed by a group of our members, will better accommodate the different shapes and sizes of our players (and the instruments they play), provide more comfort on hot days, and help us look as sharp as we sound.

We have already raised over half of the funds needed to purchase our uniforms through fundraising events produced by the organization. We're now reaching out to a broader audience to help us cross the finish line with an additional $6,000 in funding. Gifts in any amount help!
