Riverside's Louisiana Flood Relief

Riverside Church of Christ is a local church serving the community of Lafayette, Louisiana.  On August 12th - August 13th, our city of Lafayette and much of south Louisiana experienced what they are calling a 500 year flood.  40,000 homes have been affected, including at least 12 of the members here at Riverside. Many people are still unable to get into their homes as of August 17th.


We are raising money to help the people whose homes have flooded. The money will be used to help buy supplies to clean out and restore homes, especially those who don't have flood insurance, and help with anything they need including food, refurnishing, clothes, and general living supplies. As soon as the money comes in, it will go to use for these flood victims.


Our hearts break for the victims of this flood and we are doing all we can to help. We are so grateful for your help in getting these people back on their feet after this historic flood.
