What Is Realm Zero?
A world that constantly changes and that's driven by player interactions. In Realm Zero, you control the evolution of the game and surrounding elements. This includes everything from monster spawns, resource nodes, territory zones and player housing!

You have complete control over the progression of your character, without permanent commitments. With our skill based system, you have the freedom to create a truly unique character to meet your play style!

Straying away from traditional MMO game play, we offer FPS combat! With this fast paced game, there is never a dull moment! Removing the need for countless hours of grinding, jump right into the action and demonstrate your true player skill!

About Development
Realm Zero was a project I started roughly two years ago while maintaining a full time 40+ hour job.

Since starting this project I’ve been waking up 2-3 hours before work every day and typically spend several hours on the weekend towards the development.

I've done this on my own and my goal has been to establish the foundation for a much larger and expandable gaming framework.

Late last year on 12/20/2014 I had the alpha release where over 300 players connected and were able to test out a very early stage of the game. I've kept the servers online and players are still able to sign in and play around in this online environment.

Motivation
I've wanted to create video games ever since my first computer (x286) which my uncle brought me when I was about 6 years old! Ever since then it's been my growing passion and is the sole reason I entered the software engineering field.

It's not easy and everyday another person tells you that you won't make it. I want to prove them all wrong, while setting an example for anyone who comes after me.

Why Do I Need The Money?
While I'm trying very hard to follow my dreams and establish a gaming company, it's not cheap!

Everything up until this point has been out of my own pocket including: servers, software, licenses, audio and visual content.

I would like to raise enough money to ensure the servers can stay on for a minimum of 3 years and help with the burden of the already incurred and future costs.

Already Incurred
- 2x Servers Cost: $1000
- 1x Unity3D License: $1,500
- Misc Assets: $3,000

Recurring Cost
- 2x Servers Colocation: $1,200 Annually
- Photoshop Subscription: $240 Annually

Total: $9,820

I'll also be registering a LLC in the following months to retain this game, along with other titles down the road.

There are so many projects out there that are nothing more than screenshots and concept art.

I wanted to stand apart from the crowd and allows players the chance to instantly play a working alpha version of the game.
