Rebecca Piros

On September 21st, Rebecca Piros was diagnosed with a serious case of Fungal Meningitis. She is currently in the ICU recieving intensive treatment. She is the loving mother of 3 and lives with her husband of 41 years, Gene, and their youngest Miranda.  As a secretary at the high school, Rebecca finds energy through serving the students and staff of Newberg High School. Her selfless nature has uplifted and inspired many around her making it that much harder to see her suffer.
        The purpose of this page is to raise money to help with covering the ever growing medical expenses facing Rebecca and her family. She's already been in and out of the ER 5 times in recent week and now faces a month in the ICU with an estimated 2 months more in a rehabilitation center. The doctors have also discussed with the family the possibility of Rebecca returning home with disabilities. There are concerns regarding home modifications as well as questions on how long it will take for her to gain the strength to return to the job she loves at the high school. In addition, Gene, who works nights as a custodian, also faces a tough decision with his job as he figures out how to support their 15 year old daughter as well as his wife. 
     With the certainty of medical bills and the uncertainty of impact of this disease on Rebecca's family, we ask for any support you can give to ease the financial burden of this tragedy on the family.
