HOT HOT HOT TEMPERATURES!
Aside from caring for the burros here at the sanctuary, we also have 9 dogs who need special care during the extreme record-breaking heat we are having in the west right now. Of the 9 dogs, 4 are seniors.
What we are seeking for them is some relief from the heat. As you know, the sanctuary is located off the power grid. This means no AC and no fans...there is NO electricity. The sweltering temperatures are brutal.
Diana has found that Isabella Catalog carries medium and large cooling pads for dogs. The item number is: B42228. The cost for the medium 16x20 size is $39.99 and the cost for the large 23X35 is $59.99
We need a minimum of 4 large and 5 medium so that each dog will have their own cool spot to lay on! Of course more is better as they have their twin bed and cot that could have the extras put on.
