This page is for an effort by the Seminary Student Forum at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, to raise funds that will go to help Syrian refugees located in the State of Michigan.  Some of them come here with very little or nothing at all.  While they do receive government assistance for a short time, it is not enough to really help them get on their feet.  Some of them need winter clothes.  Some have no furniture.  Some have only a few things to cook with.  My name is Criag Fish, a member of the current Seminary Student Forum at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI.  The funds raised on this page will be placed into a common account that will then be brawn from and used to provide some of the necessities that these refugees have, such as food, proper clothes for the winter, cooking utenciles, and possibly some simply furniture.  In some cases, gift cards to local food stores will be purchased so the people can get what they want from there.   Regarding the actual withdrawal of the funds from gofundme, I will withdraw the funds directly via check.  The e-mail that is sent out from gofundme notifying me of the amount will be forwarded to the SSF President and Tearsurer.  Upon receiving the check from gofundme, I will cash the check and turn the check stub and cash over to the Tearsurer for deposit into the common fund, and the amount will be entered as a line item specified for our Syrain refugee outreach program.  Our present Seminary Student Forum Co-president, Hafiz Ally, has made contact with the refugee group that we are seeking to assist, and he has the direct contact with various individuals that will bring into face-to-face contact with the refugees to assist them in meeting some of the needs they have.  Some of this face-to-face contact has already taken place and we have arranged for more in the near future.  We look forward to your contributions and we endeavor to utilize the funds as wisely and as efficiently as possible.
