Help get ReStore on the road again
Tax deductible
Last week, on October 23,
Habitat for Humanity - MetroWest/Greater Worcester discovered the ReStore truck
had been stolen and destroyed. The night before the 16 foot box truck was set
on fire in a parking lot less than half a mile from Habitat headquarters at 11
Distributor Road (at Gold Start Blvd). The leased truck was completely
destroyed.
Staples has stepped up and generously donated a replacement truck, which will arrive in three weeks, and at that point it will need to be insured, wrapped, and brought up to maintenance. We need your help in getting this on the road fast!
Throughout the week, the ReStore truck travels to 42 towns and cities within the MetroWest/Greater Worcester area to pick up donated home furnishing and construction materials. Donated items are then sold at the ReStore's retail space with all proceeds going to build Habitat homes. Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent homes for low income families.
