Roanoke Wildlife Rescue

Roanoke Wildlife Rescue works to enhance and improve conditions for wildlife in Virginia by providing animal care. Established in 1988, Roanoke Wildlife Rescue is a full time operation offering free services to conservation officers, animal control agencies, and the general public. Our focus is helping native Virginia reptiles and mammals, including rabies vectors. Rabies vectors require special handling by pre-vaccinated rehabilitators and staff. RWR is very successful in the care and medical management of these species with a high rate of releases into appropriate habitats. RWR also trains members of the public who are interested in becoming permitted wildlife rehabilitators and provides hands on animal care experience to volunteers, including high school and college students interested in animal care fields.

As we continue to grow, RWR needs funding for formula, food, daily expenses, and caging.  Please donate and help us provide a place for injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife to grow and heal.
