Suicide Prevention and Awareness

Donation protected
My name is Amy Crespo, but this story isn't about me. It is about a bright and talented woman, whom I am lucky to call my sister. Heather dedicated her life to helping everyone around her. She always gave her all. She worked with adults with developmental disability, and wanted to go to school to become a child's psychiatrist. She was surrounded by family and friends that cared about her so much, and would do anything for her. She never wanted to take advantage, so she decided to never ask for help when she most needed it.
Heather took her own life October 26th, of 2015. She not only ended her life, but she took apart of everyone around her's life. There won't be any new memories with her, and my son will never get to see how amazing of a person she was and will always be.
We're raising money to start a website and forum for people that need someone to talk to when they think or feel that the people around them don't want to listen to. The faster we get the funds, the faster this website can take off. As a single mother, trying to scrape by, it's just honestly not in my funds to do this.
This won't only be allowing us to start this website and forum, but it's a possibility to save someone else's life that is thinking about taking their own life People need to realize that there is so much more to life than what they have right now. One in four people have this mental illness. Let's try to lessen that number as much as possible.  There isn't enough out there for people who think about suicide.
Also, we will be ordering a lot of merchandise with the National Suicide Prevention LIfeline and the Crisis Text Line on them, such as magnets, keychains, braclets, etc. Depending on how much we recieve from everyone, is how much will be given out to everyone. Hopefully they will get passed around enough, that someone who is thinking about suicide will take the next step and call or text someone to try to help them.  Let's work together and put a real dent in mental illness.

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this. Please, even if you can't donate to the cause, please pass this on. Every little bit counts towards trying to lessen this mental illness.
The pain from this type of loss is crippling. We wouldn't wish this pain on anyone else. With your help we can make a difference.
