CSS - FOOD PANTRY RENOVATIONS

Catholic Social Services' (CSS) Food Pantry, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, has been providing groceries to thousands of families for over 20 years. It is the largest food pantry in Montgomery County and feeds well over 800 familes per month.  By utilizing the strength of the community through its volunteers and donations, the pantry is able to provide not only material support in times of need, but also educational support through its parenting groups facilitated by the staff.  The pantry is scheduled to undergo renovations where the traditional service of providing pre-bagged groceries, will be replaced by a more dignified and personalized experience where  clients  can walk through the aisles and choose their own groceries according to their individual needs.  We believe that this change would allow our clients a  more satisfying experience  by letting them shop for themselves.  Your donation would help to provide the funding necessary to purchase shelves for the food pantry, as well as shopping carts for use by our clients.   With a comprehensive plan in place, the  construction will include creating a large waiting room, cleaning painting and the installation of new shelves so that the shopping experience will become  more dignified and efficient.  Please help us reach our goal by supporting us.  Thank you.
