Must-have surgery for Rusty
Donation protected
Our 6 month old Yorkie-Poo puppy fell out of our 4 yr old daughter's arms over the weekend from a very low height, but must've landed wrong on his back right leg.
After x-rays at the vet, it was determined that he has a growth plate fracture that can only be repaired by surgery. There is no other option. A splint/cast will not fix it, and it will not heal on it's own.
We were able to receive a second opinion and were given a much better cost for the surgery than originally quoted. Although we understanded & accepted the responsibility of owning a dog and realize costs can be high, it is still a much larger amount of money overall between the x-rays and the surgery, that we did not have set aside for this cost.
Rusty is a part of our family and we love him very much, as I'm sure other pet lovers can understand. He has many more years to live, and we want to be able to have his leg fixed so he can enjoy many more years with us!
If anyone is able to donate even a small amount to help us with this unexpected veterinary surgery, we would be so, so grateful! I hesitated to even make this campaign, but I wanted to give friends and family a chance to donate, if they feel led and are able to.
