Russo & Kelly Record a Full-Length!

We are Russo and Kelly (Joey and Nick, respectively), a heavily dog-influenced "gypsy hoedown"/"Appalachian funk" acoustic guitar duo from Detroit. We have been busking together since 2009.

We've self-produced two albums (Magnus Dog: Captain of the Low Seas [2013] and Chester Pup: Long Dog: Free [2015] ) and are looking to record our third album at a world-renowned professional studio, The IsOkOn in Woodstock, NY .

We need the $5000 so we can pay the producer, D. James Goodwin, to track and mix the full-length album consisting of about ten songs. We also need to cover our own expenses (gas, food, tolls, etc.) for the trip to Woodstock and back to Detroit and throughout the week we will spend in New York.

We are doing a two-week promotional street-performing tour in October through Cleveland, Asheville, and Charleston to get the word out about our fundraising efforts. We would like to record the album early next year, so we hope to raise the needed funds by January 1, 2018.
