Cyrus' Scoliosis Surgery
Donation protected
About a year ago we found out Cyrus had a pretty bad case of scoliosis. He had a 45 degree curve in his spine that was starting to cause parts of his upper body to shift. A few surgeons jumped to surgery as a solution right away of course but after some searching we found the right physical therapist to try to help Cyrus. The surgery is pretty scary stuff (like infusing rods into his back!) so we wanted to try other avenues first.
Unfortunately he continued to grow faster on one side and his curve (even with months of therapy) increased from a 45 to about a 63. At this point surgery is a must. His body has shifted and the movement could impact his internal organs. So before it gets any worse, we have to act.
As most of you know we also added to our family recently so we are already barely holding ourselves above water in medical debt (which some of we acquired unfortunately due to a doctor ordering an unnecessary hospital visit). We are asking friends and family if there's anything at all to spare if you could please help us get this surgery for Cyrus before it causes more damage. Trust us we know times are tough so if all you can spare is a prayer, we would be eternally grateful.
