Dauphin Food For Thought Program

We are a free hot lunch program program open to all school age children K- 12 attending classes in Dauphin. We believe our children are our future, and our program helps them become better learners. This past year we spent pennies away from $50,000, to serve 37 hot meals to 655 students twice each week. Although parents make donations to offset our costs, 2/3 of total expenses are recovered through fundraising.
Because of rising food costs , this past winter we had to reduce our program activity to 37 meals instead of the usual 42.
We are proud to say we have offered this program for the past 25 years, and along with the numerous volunteers that help us, we consider this a great investment in our future "our children".
