Improve success of local businesses

The premise of this idea is to help entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses find the help they need to be successful.
SamaritanWeb will pair volunteers--technical and business subject matter experts--with local businesses, helping them grow and improving their success rate.
The purpose of this GoFundMe effort is to raise the funds to develop the platform, launch a pilot within the Seattle market, and then take this nation-wide. Think Match.com-meets-LinkedIn.
The idea for SamaritanWeb goes back more than a decade around a plan to pursue a PhD in social informatics, and, specifically, to study how social collaboration tools might increase the level of community service.
Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and industries, offering help with strategy, technology, accounting, tax and legal, or any other technical or professional skill. And with the help they need, these businesses are more likely to succeed.
If more local businesses succeed, it helps the overall economy to grow.
