Hi guys!
My name is Sarah, and I want to share with you an exciting opportunity that I have been given!
I, along with a group of many other young adults from Kingsville Baptist Church (along with our pastor and many other members from the Pineville/Ball community), will be spending two weeks of my summer in the jungles of Ecuador. There, we will be helping in the continuation of our church's work in spreading the Gospel to the Tsàchila people who reside there.
Of course, trips like these are not so easy to pay for. In order to reach my goal, I need to raise $1,200 to cover the cost of meals, transportation, the assistance of our translators and other helpers, and the many other living expenses our group will be sure to encounter.
The trip itself will be no vacation; our group will be residing among the Tsàchila in their small villages on the outskirts of the city. There, we will be helping those living there by preparing meals, providing water, setting up a VBS-style camp for the schoolchildren, and assisting them by whatever means possible.
I know this trip is expensive, and that is precisely the reason why I have put so much thought and prayer into my decision to take part in it. However, I believe that this opportunity is not one I can simply pass up. With your help (plus the funds I hope to save up from working two jobs this summer), I'm sure I can reach my goal.
