Sarahs Wild Medic Project Nepal

Hi everyone,
In February 2017 I am heading to Nepal with other nurses and paramedics to partake in a program called The Wild Medic Project. This project is aiming to provide health care and training to rural and remote communities in Nepal, supporting communities and encouraging positive change and growth for future generations.
I will be visiting two villages, the first being Chitre located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Chitres health post once served approximately 1000 people however in the 2015 earthquake it was completely destroyed. Here we will be facilitating a free mobile medical camp for any villagers requiring assessment and basic health care whilst concurrently running training programs for the local health care volunteers.
After Chitre we will be heading to Lapisphedi, approximately 20km from Kathmandu where will be working in the village school with the local youth committee to organise health related activities.
As part of the program each volunteer is set a goal of $300 to fundraise, with funds used to purchase medications for the communities along with other basic supplies to benefit the local population such as water bottles, stationary and school furniture. I will be purchasing all the equipment once I arrive in Kathmandu in order to inject vital money into the local economy (I promise none of this money goes to me!). I also thought $500 sounds much better than $300 so thought that could be my goal.
If anyone can spare a few dollars I would appreciate it so so much and promise I will share stories and photos of what the fundraising has been able to purchase.
