SAVE KAREN'S BARNYARD!

FARM IN DANGER!!!!!!!  All the therapy animals, and our Director Nora Janssen, who has always gone out of her way to help others , needs help to secure a permanent barnyard haven and home.  Suffering the loss of her daughter Karen in 2011, led Nora and her husband John to start Karen's Equine Intervention to help others ease their grief and depression.  They also joined with Horses4Heroes to help our military and first responders  where John's 26 years of service to our country's Army lent additional support to many.  John left Nora a widow most unexpectedly in 2015 and it hit hard; so hard that she felt Karen had just died all over again. Treachery (unable to discloses full details at this time) left Nora no choice but to sell her home and Karen's Barnyard for essentially nothing with a lease/buy back agreement.   Please help us keep all the therapy animals together at the home they know and feel safe in.  We need everyone's help to regain the farm. No sum is too small and all the animals will have a permanent home including 28 year old horse Flicka, favorite horse Koda, miniature horses Mali and Macaroon, potbelly pig Charlize,  goats Rosa, Casper, Bella, Nibs, and Bebe Schatzi, all the chickens, turkeys, and guinea hens too!  We had to pay dearly to keep the animals from the street  and will need to raise over $250,000.00 to get the Barnyard back for KAREN'S HORSES and other farm animals.

More information about Karen's Equine Intervention, Inc.: Provide therapeutic services to persons suffering depression, anxiety, grief, or any life stressor utilizing rescued former Thoroughbred Racehorses and other animals in the process. Promote generalized wellness and offer Nurse Advocacy/Care Management to children, adults, and seniors. Local affiliate of Horses4Heroes with free services to Veterans and low cost access to horses to the military family and first responders.        
Farm is available to other nonprofits benefitting children and adults with special needs.
