Save Plainfield Rescue Squad EMS
Donation protected
Dear friends from the EMS community and the general public we need your help... The Plainfield Rescue Squad has been around for 65 years, established in 1950 by volunteers to give the city of Plainfield, NJ Emergency Medical Services. Since then the PRS has gone thru many changes, some good and lately some for the bad. We are starting a campaign to revamp the entire PRS to keep it from being taken over by the new Union County EMS system which is taking away from our revenue to keep the PRS running efficiently and to purchase new ambulances which we are in dire need for. The Plainfield Rescue Squad provides 24hr EMS services, 7 days a week and with the closing of the local hospital our ambulances have taken a toll going longer distances to out of town hospitals.
The Plainfield Rescue Squad was vital to the community and also surrounding cities and states during many major disasters such Super Storm Sandy, and unfortunately during the rescue efforts on September 11th 2001. We are asking for the good citizens from everywhere to please help us now in our time of need.
While you may not have ever attended an Emergency Medical Technician course, and while your name does not appear on roster, you too will have saved hundreds of lives by one simple donation and keeping PRS Inc. in service- keep in mind PRS Inc. is a non-profit organization as to which you will be able to receive a tax exemption [501(c)(3)] for your donation. At your request we will proudly display your name on our grounds, and we plan on compiling a list of contributors that will be submitted within our newsletter. Thank you in advance for your assistance you can help us out with.
-Signed,
The Family at Plainfield Rescue Squad
Both of these ambulances below responded on September 11th, 2001 to Staten Island, New York and the Jersey City Waterfront during rescue efforts and are in bad shape now, as well as the more modern fleet we are currently running.
