The light will stay on…. … “with a little HELP from my friends…“!
Should that have been it all already?
So far, Bluesiana in Velden has written an incredible story in the books of rock blues and jazz history for 28 years. Many can tell anectotes of meeting his/her personal idol up close in the great-sounding living room atmosphere of this unique place.
In the meantime Bluesiana has matured into a worldwide institution of acclaim. The main reason for that is the consistency of the highest musical talent and the loyalty of the fans. I want to express my gratitude for that to everybody!
Very recently though, the local tax department (the Austrian IRS) has filed a petition to close Bluesiana. The reason for this is a conflict concerning undeclared taxes for international artists (per law, no taxes have to be paid for international acts but I failed to collect proof of the international background of my acts, and therefore they are assuming taxes are due). The open tax amount is EUR 90.000 (about 112.000 USD)
Unfortunately, the cultural and financial support of public funding resources (that help a lot of Austrian cultural institutions to survive) has been lacking almost completely so far. The responsible departments show little interest to support this international cultural treasure.
I won’t be able to cover their requested amount by myself in order to prevent foreclosure and keep business running. In order to continue this magical musical journey I ask from the bottom of my heart for your financial support.
In order to prevent foreclosure and keep Blusiana open in the long run, an amount of EUR 50.000 has to be raised (app. 60.000 USD)
Every amount helps when it’s multiplied by many! Please share this info with music fans and friends. Of course I will keep you updated about the progress of this campaign. Again thank you so much for your support in 28 wonderful years – let’s make it at least another 28!
