In July of 2011 Linda Ozier and her husband Ron purchased a piece of property containing a house and a barn, outside of Warsaw, IN, where they started an organization called Isaiah 11 Ministry. It is at this location that they converted the house and barn into an animal rescue center and carried many years of counseling and mental health therapy to combine the two into one. This unique place provides a habitat for abused and neglected animals, while at the same time provides a diffierent kind of counseling and therapy option. Linda uses the animals to reach out to her clients and even conducts weekly group meetings, year round.
In May of 2017 the counseling build caught fire and was completely consumed, along with a number of animals. It was also during this time that her husband Ron's health began declining rapidly. While she still conducted her appointments and group meetings, her focus during her free time was completely devoted to caring for Ron. This left no time for planning or raising funds to rebuild what was lost in the fire.
Linda continued conducting group meetings outside while the weather was still fair, setting up a ring of chairs next to the barn; conducting one on one sessions in a small camper that was pulled on the property.
On November 1, 2017 Ron passes away from a stroke caused by an aortic dissection.
Through her grief Linda continued on what she was called to do. As the winter pressed in, the group meetings had no choice but to be moved into the horse barn.
Now that spring has arrived I am looking to rebuild this beautiful and unique place. I believe that what Linda is doing is Gods work and this special enviroment needs our help, not just restoring it, but making it into what it was always intended to be. A place where not only abused and neglected animals, but also children, and families, can find sanctuary, peace, and relief from issues that wear on their hearts and minds; from the everyday whoas to the deep wounds that need healing.
