How it started.

At the end of last year we (Steve and Ellie) met while working as volunteers on Leros, a small Greek island (population approx. 8000). Our work benefitted hugely from the support of generous donations on our respective fundraising pages, as did refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and so on, for whom warm clothes, shoes and baby bottles were bought; so necessary for their journey across Europe.

Our current projects/
HOW MONEY WILL BE SPENT

1) Sending Clothing and Aid

Shipping: per 20-foot container we require €1500. This is a lot of money, but this much aid can clothe an entire camp of people on a Greek island. We also require 260 boxes per container. This comes to approximately €360.

Storage: as more clothing and aid is donated, we will need to expand our storage facilities, requiring

2) The SCARF van
This van is self-funded, but our 'van plan' isn't. 

Mobile workshop: we intend to establish a mobile workshop resource, from which we can deliver creative workshops on acting and theatre, puppeteering, drawing and painting. We hope that locals and refugees will be able to come together in these activities.
Donations will be used for: stationery (paper, pencils, paint),  a basic theatre stage (or tools to create one), puppets and basic children's costumes (or materials to make them), projectors and a generator. 

Film screenings: with the use of projectors, we will do film screenings for adults and children on the wall of our van. 


Important: if you dont have a credit card, you can donate the money to Steve's personal bank account and he will put the money on the Gofundme page in your name.
