I'm blessed to work as a full time teacher for middle school students! This summer, I plan to move to the fourth largest city in the States to teach and also to work in humanitarian relief efforts!
I plan to get involved serving others and working with new cultures, but there is much to learn in working with these new cultures. Specifically, I would love to work alongside Moroccan families that have come to live in the United States.
I have an opportunity this summer, before I move, to go and stay with some family friends in Morocco and learn from their long-term humanitarian works they do on a daily bases. They provide for several needs in certain places in Morocco and I would love to learn first-hand how to meet these needs for new or old Moroccan immigrants in the States.
My goal is to reach out to these friends and make them feel welcomed and loved as they join life here in the United States!
To reach this effort, it will take reaching a financial goal of roughly 2000 dollars. A plane ticket can cost from 1300 to 1600 dollars for the two-week stay. Once there, there will be opportunities to travel and learn the culture in different areas of the country with friends I have met here in the States. Finances include these travels. Any remaining money from this trip will go towards assisting in the humanitarian efforts of my family friends living there.
