Blaine Senior Day 2015

Donation protected
Senior Day Supporters,

I would like to begin by thanking everyone who has actively supported our Senior Day event. At the start of this endeavour we were uncertain how well this idea would be received by the community, but we decided to pursue our dreams and try to make them a reality. I am happy to say, that thanks to your support, we have raised $655 to date as of this posting. It goes without saying, that we couldn’t have done this without all of you as supporters. On behalf of the Blaine High School Senior Class, I would like to thank the community for all it has done for us.

Many of you know that our cause was discussed in Blaine’s The Northern Light . After the article was published we received $480, and we can’t thank Steve Guntli of the Northern Light enough for writing such a great article.  However as mentioned in the article, the deadline for ordering our T-shirts was the first week of May. It appears that our goal of supplying every senior with a T-shirt will go unaccomplished, however your contributions will not go to waste. We gaurentee that all funds we collected via this gofundme.com campaign will be used to benefit the Senior Class at the Senior Day event.

Some of you contributed to our campaign knowing it was a unique advertising opportunity, and it still is. While your logo will not be printed on the back of a T-shirt, it will be displayed in multiple ways at the Senior Day event. For everyone who contributed to our cause as an individual you are invited to the event to be recognized in person, and your name will be displayed in multiple places around the event. We can not apologize enough for not being able to do things exactly how we originally planned, but we hope we will recognize all who contributed in an acceptable way.

If you are still interested in supporting us, the opportunity is still available. We will be able to make use of all funds we receive until May 20, which is when we expect to wrap up purchasing everything necessary for the event. If you would like to contribute in a way other than through gofundme, we are still in need of refreshments and snacks. If you feel you can contribute in anyway, feel free to contact us at [email redacted] or call and text us at (503) [phone redacted].

Please understand that this is not a Blaine School District sanctioned event, and that I am respectfully requesting that you  refrain from contacting any employee of the district regarding information.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I Adam McShane, Senior Class President, am contacting you on behalf of the Blaine High School Senior Class. The class of 2015 has been one of the most successful classes in Blaine High School History. We boast 11 valedictorians, four collegiate athletes, three National Merit Scholar finalists, and one United States Air Force Academy Cadet. It goes without saying that, over the past four years we have worked hard. With all this hard work we, in the Senior Class leadership, feel that we have earned a day off to celebrate our accomplishments as a group. That is why we have generated a plan to hold Senior Day 2015 at Bloedel Donovan park on May 21. We believe that the creation of Senior Day has the potential to be a start of the greatest Blaine High School tradition, and we would appreciate your help.

With being the first class to do something organized like this ourselves, we would like to set the standard high. Our first goal is to purchase 165 t-shirts with,“Senior Day 2015” printed on them. We estimate that the cost of these shirts will be $1300. Please note that the $1500 campaign is an over estimate, to help ensure we can purchase the shirts, any addtional funding will be used for other fun activities on Senior Day. Any business that would like to help us in our venture to create and distribute these shirts to the Senior class for free, can make a donation. Upon donation, your business logo will be added to the back of the t-shirt design. We are also currently seeking donations of food items that would be appropriate at a barbeque. Whether you are a restaurant owner who would like to come out and cook for us, or a flower shop that be willing to buy a few bags of chips, everything is appreciated. If you feel you can make any type of contribution please do not hesitate to contact us.

I would like to thank you for your consideration to join our effort toward in creating a great day off. If you have any queries about our mission, goals, or would just like to offer words of support, please feel free to contact us at [email redacted] or call and text us at (503) [phone redacted].

Please understand that this is not a Blaine School District sanctioned event, and that I am respectfully requesting that you  refrain from contacting any employee of the district regarding information.
