How I lost 50% of my eyesight.
Hi there everyone, my name is Andre and I would like to share my story with you.
Well to start off, the story is about how I lost an eye when I was about five years which was 22 years ago.
How it happened
My mother says that my grandfather was working outside with steel, grinding and welding, and that I got a piece of steel shaving in my eye because I was standing too close to the work being done and that steel shaving destroyed my lens completely.
The first operation
Well the first operation I underwent was for a cosmetic lens replacement which was okay at first but yet again I got into an accident that caused the lens to turn into a horizontal position inside my eye and had to be removed again at the age of twelve years old and thereafter I have had endless pain because of a small piece that was left behind after surgery.
Because of this small piece that was left behind I struggle to live a normal life, keep a job, enjoy a simple thing like watching a movie, one of the worst things is that I can't plan for tomorrow because I don't know if I’m going to have to stay in bed because it sometimes gets so bad that I can't open my eyes and have to be in the dark, so that means I have to skip a day at work which has always resulted in me losing my job.
I’m 27 years old now and this is blocking me from getting anywhere because I can't keep a job, I'm currently chopping and selling firewood to make my salary bo be able to survive.

I have recently found out that there might be an operation that can be done to fix my problem but due to the fact that I only make enough money to sustain myself with food just barely it makes it impossible to save up the money for this.
I’m just looking for a bit of help so that I can have my eye re-evaluated and so that I can find out if something can still be done to fix it.
For me to see normal and have a normal day after 22 years of pain wow that would be amazing just thinking about it makes my heart skip a beat.
With the funds that are raised, I will b able to see a doctor and get some tests done. Doctor's cost is $500.
Other related costs for tests and treatment are $1550.
This will help me gain my normal vision for the first time.
Total cost: $2050
How I came in. I was basically touched by the plight of this man and having noticed that no one had made a single donation I decided to step in and help him with his fundraising goals.
