Reliable Car for Work Needed

I never thought I'd have the guts to swallow my pride and ask the community for help but I'm running out of options. My car recently went out on me and I can't afford to fix it, and with it being a manuel, I don't even feel comfortable or safe with my driving abilities. With no car, I've been catching rides to work with a few of my awesome coworkers, but my brother is having trouble securing a job with no transportation. In reality, we need a vehicle. It is too hard to pay all of our bills with just one of us working, and getting a good reliable car that can get both of us to work, that won't break down in a few months, that's what we need.
