Share the Warmth

Donation protected

In the United States, there are over 600,000 people that experience homelessness on any given night.  Within Michigan alone, 92,000 people were homeless at some point during 2013.  This holiday season, we’re teaming up with student groups at Michigan State University and the Volunteers of America homeless coalition in Lansing, Michigan to help #sharethewarmth, by collecting new and gently used hats, socks, gloves, scarves.  These donations will help support those in need through the brutal winter weather.

For the Greater Lansing area, we’ll be collecting items at the Rock on Michigan State’s campus both November 24th and December 1st from 10am-2pm.  If you live in the area, we invite you stop by to donate or just stop by to show your support!  With your help, we aim to collect and donate 2,000 garments of warm clothing as we approach the upcoming winter months.

Even if you don’t live in the Greater Lansing area, we’d still love to have you support our efforts!  We invite you to help #sharethewarmth through participating in our online campaign.  Through this Go Fund Me page, we’re also raising money to help support our cause.  100% of the proceeds raised from this campaign will be used to purchase additional garments of clothing to donate to Volunteers of America.

If all of us were able to share just a little bit of our good fortune, imagine the impact we could have. We look forward to working together, with you, this holiday season to #sharethewarmth.
