Hi friends, my name is Shin, and I'm from Britain.
So, the story here is that I have multiple sclerosis. My official diagnosis is "Highly Evolved Relapsing Remitting", which means that my cycles of relapse/remission is measured in weeks and months rather than years. I've been on a treatment since a few months after my diagnosis, which has slowed the rate considerably.
But the MS did damage before that. I have limited sensation below the knee on my right leg, and in my left hand. I'm functional, but it's hard. I can only use my right hand for things like cutlery, or holding things.
Now, onto why I'm fundraising here. In 2015 I'm hoping to go on my dream holiday. A holiday I've wanted to go on since I was about 13 years old. That is to go with my friends to a convention in Las Vegas.
I'm doing the majority of saving myself, but my worry is that I won't quite have enough. I'm sharing a room with my partner and my best friend, so that is cut into a third.
Basically, this will be for the assitance I'll need when I'm there, and my flights. This is a once in a lifetime trip for me, and the simple fact is that in a few years I likely will not be healthy enough to do something like this. Please help me if you can, anything you can spare would be great and I would be forever in your debt.
