Mick & Tiffany's N. Monroe Mural Project

I met Mick last week. He's an artist passing through, only in Spokane for about a month. After that, he heads to an artist residency in Denver. He's also painted super impressive murals all over the world!!
It's been my dream to paint a large scale mural, and I've been waiting for the right opportunity. Meeting Mick and being inspired by his work I decided we had to make the right opportunity...and fast - as I'm headed to the coast at the end of the month and he's headed to Denver after that.
This week I managed to find a wall, get approval from the out of town owners and get some initial funding from the city ($1,000). A handful of friends really came through to make these things happen (so very grateful) and we are really close!
We'll be painting the S. side of the BudCo building on N. Monroe - right next to Gerardo's. It's a giant blank wall. I just moved into the Emerson/ Garfield neighborhood and am so thrilled to be able to beautify such a large unattractive piece of my new hood. Also, MORE MURALS! :)
We will be painting in the evenings next week and next weekend (as I work) with Mick doing some big fills during the day if needed. I get to rent my first lift which is the stuff of bucket lists!! We have a lot of paint to buy - not even sure how much yet. But we have secured some funding and I'm hoping that crowdsourcing might be a way for the community to pitch in as well.
As artists, we often work unpaid and at the end of the day, our time is valuable. I'd love for this campaign to help with any extra needed supplies/paint and to be able to take home a bit of money for our time. Especially Mick's time as he is passing through and giving Spokane such a gift of this talent. Anything that feels doable is much appreciated. Even the smallest of amounts.
