Silverton helping Denis following burglary

Let’s show our neighbour that there is good in this village!

In the early hours of this morning, some vile people broke into my next door neighbours house. They took money, some personal items and his precious van. The van was found burned out in the village just after 5 am.

Denis is well known in the village and as most of you will know he is a very friendly man, always willing to help anyone.

Please help me to help Denis restore his faith in people by kindly donating a little spare change that we can give him on Christmas Eve as a token gesture from the village.

This will not replace his beloved van, but it will certainly help give him a smile and give a positive feeling at this awful time.

Denis is a proud man who wouldn’t ask anything of anyone, so please can we all keep this a secret until Christmas Eve. He is not on social media so there is no chance of him seeing this so feel free to share. Thank you so much.

Money will be going to his daughter Karyn Heywood who will be giving it to Denis on Christmas Eve.
