Simply Green Recycling Needs You!

Most of us understand the value of recycling and the importance of preventing waste from entering our environment. For 11 years, Simply Green Recycling has been the only option for curbside recycling in Morganton and surrounding communities.

Bryan and Stephanie Cates have poured their hearts, energy, and countless hours into providing this service. In April of this year, the Cates Family decided to discontinue service in an effort to spend more time together as a family. As customers of Simply Green, we were saddened to hear of the loss of this valuable service in our community.

Upon hearing the news, we reached out to the Cates to explore any potential options for how the service could continue. After a few weeks of getting to know them and their business, we are extremely excited to have entered negotiations to purchase Simply Green Recycling and continue their legacy. 

After a lot of discussions and planning with Bryan and Stephanie, we believe we have a plan in place to ensure the sustainability and success of the business going forward. This includes some immediate and necessary expenditures needed to repair equipment and begin the process of transitioning to single-stream recycling, which will be more profitable for the business and easier on our customers. This means that customers would have a single bin to put all recyclable materials in.
