Welcome to my crowdfunding campaign!
In case you don't know me, my name is Orice Jenkins and I'm a musician. I sing, arrange, write, and play instruments. I've been working on these crafts for about 8 years, and I think it's time that I put out a full-length album of my work. But-
I NEED YOUR HELP!
This album was recorded in Massachusetts during the months of January and March. The members of my 7-piece band all traveled from either Connecticut or New York City to get to the sessions! I wanted us all in the same place at the same time to get a live feel. I also asked 5 special guests to join us on certain songs. My first goal is to compensate them for their time and hard work.
The other goals are vital to the project's completion. These include mixing and mastering, which will allow me to release the recording online. Duplication will allow me to release physical copies in the form of a CD. Also, because the album has 4 originals and 8 covers, I will need to pay for the copyrighting and licensing of these songs.
Lastly, and equally important, I will need to compensate the amazing artist that is doing the cover and graphic design of my project. Edward LaRose from Truth Revolution Records is just as soulful as my music, if not more, and his work cannot not go unappreciated.
So here's the breakdown (approximate figures):
Recording - $1,000
Mixing - $1,000
Mastering - $1,000
Duplication - $2,000
Copyrighting - $100
Licensing - $1,600
Musicians - $3,000
Artwork and Design - $500
Promotion - $2,000
