I am a teacher and artist who knows the importance of artistic and creative opportunities for people who are victims of domestic violence or who have experienced difficult times.  I have started a non-profit that will focus on providing group and individual opportunities for people (mainly women and children) to create art that will help them begin the healing process and to address the adversity that they are currently facing.  I also plan to focus on creating artistic experiences that begin the difficult conversations of abuse and human trafficking.  I started this Go Fund Me page in hopes of raising the money to file the paper work for my 501c3 and to fund my first activity that took place in the spring of 2017.  I am revamping my efforts after my big move to Fort Lauderdale last summer.  I have reached many people in Loudoun County Virginia and I plan to continue my efforts there even after my move.  Now it is time for me to service my community here in Fort Lauderdale.  I have met many people in this past year that have inspired me, encouraged me and helped me transition.  I am setting a goal for myself to service at least 500 people between Leesburg, Virginia and here in the Fort Lauderdale by the end of 2019. I plan to partner with local women/children shelters and agencies that provide support to abuse and homeless women and children.
