Thank you for helping me reach my mobility potential with Spinal Fusion. It has been a 2 year long journey to finally gain medical & insurance approval to fuse L3-4, L4-5, and L5-S1 of my spinal vertebrae correcting overextension, compressed nerves, erroneous misalignment, inadequacy in disc space, and with hopes and prayers of chronic pain relief.
Although Im very excited for the approval of this procedure by the insurance company my own Out Of Pocket (OOP) just as the Co-Pay is estimated to be just over $850.00.
This cost does not include the cost of Medications, Durable Medical Equipment (Back Brace), etc and Post Operative Therapies including Physical Therapy or Rehabilitative Therapy. These expenses are unknown.
Unfortunately, with all this exciting news that my long awaited surgery is within our grasp the afforability is closing that possibility. My husband was relieved of his job 2 weeks ago.
Now my insurance coverage will need to be purchased under COBRA options and costs. We have yet to be given those costs and finalized paperwork. We are currently unable to afford the COBRA benefit.
My Spinal Fusion Surgery is scheduled for August 17th @ 10:00 a.m. by my Neurologist Dr. Jordan Jude. The Surgery is expected to take up to 8 hours to be performed @ Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
