Soul Pioneers Fundraising Campaign
As the president of the board of directors for the St. Louis Black Radio Hall of Fame I, Bernie Hayes, would like to take this time to seek your financial support of our Soul Pioneers Fundraising Campaign.
We are seeking to raise $15,000 to support the cost of our First Annual Benefit Concert which will be held August 15, 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri; to secure physical location for the museum; and to develop our initial programming. Your monetary contribution will greatly assist us three-fold:
1. Provide funds to assist with securing the venue and related costs for the benefit concert ($5,000),
2. Secure facility space for the Radio Hall of Fame Museum for 6-8 months ($4,500),
3. Develop a Virtual Radio and Media Hall of Fame Museum and support community outreach programming ($5,500).
Our campaign will run through August 2015 leading up to our summer kick-off Benefit Concert where we will officially launch the St. Louis Black Radio Hall of Fame. The need to establish the St. Louis Black Radio Hall of Fame resulted from the vision of an impassioned group who wanted to preserve the history of “Soul Radio” along with the countless accolades of St. Louis radio personalities and musicians who are often overlooked and often forgotten by local and national institutions.
