Welcome to Bench # 105 Greenhouse Allotment. My aim is to grow 100 fruit trees.

THIS MONTH: December Seedling Monitoring and reporting as they grow. Seed Germination.

Lastweek Wins :
Apple's germinate.
Progress:
1. Completed paperwork and payment and I got my Greenhouse Allotment
2. Gathered Apple and Pear seeds from Farmers markets
3. Moved seedlings from aparment to Greenhouse
4. Reached $600 in donations from family.
5. Monitoring: Seedlings are doing well. Even though they are in a greenhouse the winter effects are taking place. The maple seedling has lost its leaves.
6. Losses: the cherries did not make it. I think due to over watering. Lesson learned I will try ahain nect season.
7. Apples and pears doing well.

*I know the risks the baby trees may not have the same characteristics as the parent but buying from local farmers they will be fairly similar and will do well in the winter not to mention it will be very exciting to see what i get.

-compost setup - worms, and a fish for added water nutrients.
-Seed Purchases
I will be purchasing my seeds from Green Barn Farm in Quebec they have seeds available in May. I am researching this company and will be in contact with them soon.
Estimated purchase of 6 packs of seeds average 90 seeds
DONATION GOALS
Total $700 - will get me the above plus purchase more seeds to definitely meet my goal of 100 fruit trees (now would be at 8 packs of seeds average 120 seeds). Start date. .. end date trophy date. Thank you so much!
Total $1,050 - will get me the above plus pay for my van rental to get my fruit trees to their new home. Thank you so much for your support.
What is next! - Project Lineup
May 2018
When the trees get to their new home I will do another Project for the greenhouse where the younger plants will live until they grow up enough to get planted in the ground.
