Stand by ArtHouse 43's New Project!

The title "State of the Arts" has been changed to: "Art City Now"! It is a new podcast series devoted to the exploration of the art scene in different cities. The first series is on Battle Creek, Michigan.

We are grateful to have already generated some start-up funding for this project from the Battle Creek Community Foundation, and we just need a little more help to get the podcast off the ground. We believe this project will help to foster a sense of community in Battle Creek, to connect creative people from across the city, and to promote art from Battle Creek to national and international audiences. 100% of your donations will go toward helping us achieve our goal of providing a platform for artists doing remarkable work in the city (specifically, some of our recording equipment needs to be updated, and we need to increase our promotional budget).  

Art City Now: Battle Creek would initially be a five-part series, with the potential of more series taking place in the future, as the art scene changes over time. Each episode will feature at least one artist or artistic voice for a discussion on how they approach their craft and how their work interacts with the Battle Creek arts scene. The five episodes will air over the course of five weeks, with one episode being released each week. We are aiming to begin releasing episodes in the spring of 2018.
