Stephen K. Mwangi Illness

Donation protected

Steve K. Mwangi is a Kenyan man, former US Army Veteran and has been working as a nurse in Lowell, near Boston since he left service back in 2009.

Unfortunately, Steve suffered a minor stroke in August this year which affected his left leg. He was treated and was on his way to healing. Unfortunately, he suffered another major stroke a month later that left him hospitalized for 2 weeks at the Boston Medical center.

He has also been in and out of the Lowell General Hospital , Boston Medical Center, Emerson Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center for treatment.

The illness and hospitalization made Steve lose his job and pretty soon, his living expenses including rent and car payments started to pile up.

He is now in the eviction process threats of car repossession.

Steve became even more distressed and unable to cope with the problems. He has no close family member in USA.

On Monday December 11, around 11.30pm at night, noticed that his condition was getting worse Mr. Mwangi decided to call emergency crews who rushed him to Beth Israel in Boston where he was immediately admitted for treatment, with doctors running multiple tests to determine the cause of his illness.

He treated and discharged two days later (Wednesday night) after his condition stabilized. However, he was instructed to return to hospital in a month’s time as an endoscopy test revealed a tumor in his stomach that the doctors want to study further.

Mwangi said that he is not eligible to get any benefits from the US Veterans Agency (VA).

Kenyans and African immigrants in Boston who form part of the Ajabu Africa Diaspora Support Network have come together to urge members of the community and all well wishers to help raise funds in order to assist Steve clear his overdue arrears and reverse the eviction orders as he has nowhere else to go other than being homeless.

Please help us assist this brother from falling homeless and provide him some peace that will go a long way in helping him to recover from this debilitating problem threatening to engulf him.

There is no donation too small to accept. Help as the Lord inspires you to.

God Bless.
