Our wonderful inner-city community garden and centre has been serving local people for almost forty years. Now, during this pandemic, our community needs us more than ever.
Despite losing £13,000 per month during lockdown we're providing vital services, especially for the elderly, those living alone, disabled people, children and young families.
We've set up a new food bank for 50 local households and growing, providing hot meals for those most in need using vegetables from our own garden. And we’re using the garden as a socially distanced space for elderly and medically vulnerable people to safely enjoy time outdoors.
We want to maintain and grow these crucial services and provide new ones. Now we need your help!
- If we can raise £5,000 this will allow us to keep our food bank running until the end of 2020
- If we raise £10,000 this will enable us to create an outdoor classroom and learning programme for local residents
