Support for Justice

Donation protected
Shortly after my cousin was born she began exhibiting troubling symptoms which included irritability, frequent vomiting, thrush, reactive airway disease, consistent flu-like symptoms, failure to thrive, etc. At the age of three she was eventually diagnosed with eosinophilic (ee-uh-sin-uhfil-ik) esophagitis (EoE), is a disease that attacks the esophagus and is often aggravated by food and environmental allergies and intolerances.

The family was devastated and overwhelmed by the severity of this rare disease auto- immune disorder. It’s safe to say that the more they met with medical specialist and learned about this disease, the more discouraged they became. The family had to completely change our lifestyle in order to manage her symptoms. Not only has this affected Justice physically, it is affecting her emotionally as she is often isolated from her peers in school and confined to the nurse’s office during lunch where someone who is medically trained can provide emergency medical assistance if needed.

Treatment has become extremely expensive and medical bills have mounted as a result. Although, the medical providers in Arizona are really experienced most are not competent in treating EoE. The ultimate purpose of this fundraiser to raise enough funds to travel to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where they specialize in treating EoE until researchers find a cure.
